God spoke to the young man named Jeremiah:
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” (Jer 1:5)
But Jeremiah answered:
“Ah, Lord GOD! Truly I do not know how to speak, for I am only a boy.” (Jer 1:6)
You might be saying one of these things: “I am ONLY — I am old, a loser, a person with no talents, or cast aside by the world with no purpose and have no one to love me.”
But God says:
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you!” (Jer 1:5)
Believe it or not… this applies to you too. Before you were born, your creator loved you and consecrated you too (set you aside for a mission of good deeds).
Go forth this day knowing God loves you and has purpose for your life! For God is saying to you:
“Do not say, ‘I am only’ … for I am with you!” (Jer 1:7-8)
